Last Minute Hotel Deals

I like to take a lot of road trips, and when I do I have to save as much money as I can. I guess I would rather take a lot of them rather than pay a lot for just a few of them. I have to stay in a nice hotel though, and that can be pricey. This is why I take my time and plan early so that I can get the best possible deals on hotel rooms that I can possibly find. Though there are times I have to take what I can get, there are many times when I get a steal of a price on an amazing room.

In order to get hotel deals you have to look a few months before you go. This is when the rooms are not booked up, and they want to offer you a good price to get you to book the room. For the best hotel deals, you have to prepay for the room. This is a great way to get a great price, but you will not usually be able to get a refund if you have to cancel for any reason. On a regular reservation you can cancel up to twenty four hours until you are due to stay, but a prepaid one may be lost if you can’t go. That can be iffy if your plans are not set in stone.

You can get hotel deals if you stay during the week and not on the weekend. Last year I stayed in Philadelphia, but I had to stay on the weekend because I was attending what turned out to be a very important event. As I was looking for hotel deals, I noticed that if I were staying during the week the rates for the hotel I was looking at, I would have saved fifty dollars a night. There are some times when you just have to bite the bullet, especially if you have an event on a weekend. If you can be flexible though, you will get great hotel deals by staying on weekdays.

You might be able to get some hotel deals if you book at the last minute. This happens when there are a lot of hotels in one spot and they are all looking pretty empty. When this happens, they may offer you a cheaper rate to get you to stay with them. You might even want to call and say you are pricing hotels and you got a good price from another, but you wanted to see what they would offer in hotel deals to get you to stay. You never know, you may get a great room for very little money that way. It won’t always work, but it never hurts to try.
